Would it be fair to summarise that you are arguing that a photographer reflects what is in himself, or reflects what is on the outside world? Furthermore, are you claiming that to achieve a deeper level of photography, it is the reflection of self that we should be investing in, as opposed to just what we are aware of on the outside world?
Your points make me question if either phenomenon can occur in isolation; if this is not the case, then is any photo taken a real reflection of what the world is truly like? I would also question your summary, where you state that works of high value are rarely created during unfavourable times. I debate this as many of the worlds greatest images have come through times of trouble (Afghan Girl, Girl in the Photo, the vulture and the little girl ect…
